Description
Terras Gauda Black Label 2022 is the great white of one of the references of the D.O. Rías Baixas, a wine that has defined its own style when it comes to understanding the aging potential of Galician whites.
Made with a blend of native varieties of the O Rosal Valley: 70% Albariño, 22% Caíño Blanco and 8% Loureiro, from vineyards located in a privileged location next to the mouth of the Minho River. Each variety ferments separately after cold maceration, and the must mixture ferments in French oak barrels. Subsequently, the wine ages for 5 months on its lees with periodic battonages and 9 months in foudres, achieving a perfect integration.
The Albariño provides fruity aromas and volume in the mouth; the Loureiro, floral intensity on the nose; and the Caíño Blanco, structure and singularity. On the nose, its fruity power stands out with aromas of clementine, lemon, lychee and quince, supported by delicate notes of butter, brioche, toasted bread and white pepper. In the mouth it is powerful, structured and silky, with a vibrant acidity that balances its unctuousness and a long and slightly saline finish.
An ideal white for fish, seafood, rice and white meats, with the capacity to evolve in the bottle over the next 4 years.
